Well sure, the appeal of thinking they're all "....out to get you" is that if you succeed in your business anyway then you're some kind of a superhero and if you fail miserably then you can console yourself that you never had an honest chance of winning in the first place. Either way, your ego never gets deflated because you were as great as you thought you were, or the people allied against you cheated to get their win against you. Quite a neat little circle they've got going on in their minds. The sad part about Justin Lanasa is that when he first came on the scene he tried striking up business deals with Luke while he was in Lake Geneva, trying to suck up to Luke (and the family) in order to get in close to his rival organization and get a real sizing up of his competition in case he needed to gather some intel. Luke ignored all of Justin's emails and finally it took multiple calls just for Justin to get through to speak with Luke and be told "No thanks, we're good." Nothing pisses off Justin more than being tossed aside and disregarded. Luke knew immediately that Justin was just a grifter, and that he was NEVER going to get anywhere near Gary Con or their inner circle. That's why he started doing the backstabby thing. Complete insecurity on Justin's part. A loser kid wanting to hang out with the cool kids and hating viciously on the successful and popular kids when they see that he's kinda garbage and creepy and want nothing to do with him.
