Including several about certain claims the defendant herself had made both during the trial AND post conviction.  The trial questions he answered quickly, clearly and directly.  But each one about his former client’s comments seemed to deflate him bit by bit.  By his answers, it was abundantly clear she was a pathological liar.I can’t remember the last question, but I remember his reaction.  With his hands spread out across the back of the sofa, his chin dropped into his chest.  He denied the substance of his former client’s assertion speaking. Each. Word. Of. His. Rebuttal. As. An. Individual. Utterance.  He never looked up during the process.He was so profoundly exhausted, he looked crucified.</blockquote>
