I think it safe to assume it its the right time to create the new ultimate monster of D&D: The Lanasan Mouther! A twisted variant of the gibbering mouther, but with a very specific set of abilities. Unspeech. The mouther understands common, but cant speak any language. A successful check made to hear or understand the words coming from a mouther deals 1d4 psychic damage to the listener. Libelproof. The mouther is immune to the effects of vicious mockery. Panic. Whenever the mouther starts its turn with 40 hit points or fewer, roll a d6. On a 6, the creature goes berserk and loses the ability to distinguish friend from foe, regarding all creatures it can see as enemies. Each time the mouther takes damage, it can repeat the saving throw, ending the effect on itself on a success. Whenever the affected creature chooses another creature as a target, it must choose the target at random from among the creatures it can see within range of the attack, spell, or other ability it's using. If an enemy provokes an opportunity attack from the affected creature, the creature must make that attack if it is able to. Plot of Chaos. The unfathomable plans and thoughts of a mouther can't be read by telepathy or other means, unless they allows it. They can present false thoughts by succeeding on a Charisma (Deception) check contested by the mind reader's Wisdom (Insight) check. Additionally, no matter what they say, magic that would determine if they are telling the truth indicates they are lying, and you can't be compelled to tell the truth by magic.
