At the moment we are waiting on, in order the lawsuits commenced:

TSR LLC vs Wizards of the Coast LLC: The TSR LLC bankruptcy to conclude so damages can be clear and Wizards of the Coast can claim victory by default - and continue their countersuit.
LaNasa v Tenkar: The judge to provide a ruling on the motion to dismiss, which may or may not end things.
TSR LLC Bankruptcy: The bankruptcy is ongoing, so we'll only get updates when the special counsel needs to engage in legal action via the court, or the trustee reaches a conclusion.
Theoretically there's nothing illegal about promoting GaryCon at the same time. Tasteless but not unlawful. I think the biggest red flag is that it's "turnkey with some exceptions" but no information on inventory, etc. The asking price is absurd on the face of it, but even more absurd with "Just trust me... most of what you see is definitely worth that... I say most because I will be taking some of it with me." The bankruptcy case has more or less confirmed it has zero viability from a pure business perspective, and without knowing the exact unique artifacts you'll be buying there's not way to argue for a monetary figure based on sentiment etc. Mostly all it does is attract attention to the fact that Justin's other museum is just literally his collection of stupid clutter that his wife wouldn't let him keep in the house. As a side note, it seems Wonderfilled will be at GaryCon and is planning on "honoring" James M Ward by... running a previously unmentioned GiantLands module with a previously unmentioned "Team Member" Elliot Harris. I checked and Elliot does appear in the credits for the GiantLands under "Special Thanks"... which notably also includes Luke Gygax (Luke has confirmed to me he had no involvement in the project whatsoever, and is baffled why they would thank him). Looking at the event... This is a somewhat confusing premise since Ion is a playable character [S]race[/S]species with a lifespan of 3,000 years. So um... confused how you could be one of these and not sure where the home site of your people on this world is. Also this means that basic core lore about a standard playable character option is locked behind being able to attend a one off event with a specific time, place and a maximum attendance of 6. Not convinced this is going to get him any closer to his dream of a theme park.
