That's a matter of opinion.

Actually, it's pretty much a given. WotC is one of the few companies that has the resources to do big, full-color HC's on a consistently profitable basis, and they do a dang good job of it.

I've often wondered how well Modern sells.

Writers for the line have publicly said that it is the bestselling modern-era RPG on the market since its release, so you have to figure that it has sold at least as well as GURPS and WoD books in the last couple of years. That said, those were both old games at the time d20M first hit the streets -- we'll see where things stand with new editions of both games.
