Notice that the FILMMAKERS, the ones we're used to seeing now at Gencon and GAMA, are going to be there. These donations are purely for the cast of the movie. Most people try to become successful enough to become guests of a con rather than begging for money to go to Gencon over the internet. Most game designers pay their own way to Gencon each year, and if the cast is so interested in promoting their movie, they should find a way to come as well.

Can you tell I'm not a fan of begging over the internet?

I know that, but thanks. I own a copy after all. I had gotten confused, but d20Dwarf cleared that up. When I read the first post, I had conflated the filmmakers with the cast. I noticed that they've only raised $15 out of the $6000 they want.

Is air fair from seattle really that much?

I personally have always tried to have a buffer of 1000$ for me alone to go to Gencon, but that included airfair, hotel (1 share out of 4), food, and various purchases.

I'm wondering if maybe 6000 is a bit too high. I mean, we can assume that they'd all share one big suite at one of the hotels. (I remember some groups having 8 to a giant suite or more).

Ah well. I hope they make it. They deserve to go. Maybe Peter will offer them free badges.
