A situation to consider:

There are two very similiar CG rogues who are best buddies. Today one has just "gone over the edge" to CN.

The unholy sword that once burned him for 2d6 extra points of damage the day before now does no extra damage. Yet his CG friend's flesh continues to burn by the sword's unholy might.

Just who are these Rogues, I wonder, and why does someone constantly poke them with an unholy sword? :D

Um don't mean to butt in but your talking realism in regards to a sentient peice of metal ....:D

oh and where do I sign up for PAADD (although I'm not a humanist so its that a prereq for the PAADD PrC?

Nothing strange. The sword has to decide whether to inflict 2d6 extra damage or not, every time it strikes. It's not that it has the possibility to inflict a fraction of that extra damage - it's not within its power. So, it's necessary that there's a point beyond which it deals the extra damage. Since the sword is unerring in its detection of goodness, it will not wave back and forth.

Hmmm..sign up? I started a movement! Woo-hoo!!

Congratulations, you're now a member.

And don't worry about that secular humanist bit...really, I'm more agnostic Catholic than anything else.
