The Blade of Power, which I'm almost done with, will be a melee-based PrC for this, and will provide an AC bonus, since you won't be using range all the time.Anything that could modify a ranged weapon attack could affect your powerbolt. Check out the Weapon-like Spells section in Complete Arcane (just before the feat section) that should give you an idea of what you can do with that.I've had a few ideas for new powerbolt feats while making the Blade of Power, as well.
