I must be the only person on the planet who liked the blackspawn stalker and can see room for one in his game. Especially compared to all the other boring spider monsters in that book. Really, did we need bloodsilk spiders, tomb spiders and inferno spiders? No! No we did not! At least give us a scorpion or something!

I imagine it as the creation of a Dracolich or other necromantic type spelltosser. Put it in some caverns, toss in a deeper darkness spell and viola' tpk.
