The I should be doing something else but I'm on EN World thread

I think you guys mean the Kaiju template. Kanji is a linguistics term, the name for Japanese characters/script.

"Ohmigod, that Tarrasque just wrote Japanese graffiti all over the wall! You monster!!! What does it say?"

Hehe.

Perhaps the Tarrasque is using Katakana, it's attempt at writing foreign words with it's native alphabet?

Why go with the Tarrasque when you could just apply the BoT's Apocalyptic template to a dire rat and get about the same result. :)

I should be writing my class paper. Either that, filling out forms for my new job. But, I'm on a call while I'm on ENWorld, so technically I'm multi-tasking. Still, my multi-tasking could be a *bit* more productive. :)

have you considered: The Vanishing Village from Dungeon #19

the House Hunters make great monsters for unsuspecting PCs.

they are house sized Mimics.

and as such have more advanced HD and damage.

i'm not sure if they are in any conversion to newer editions.

I'm a police dispatcher, so I should probably be paying attention to the crime and calls for service in our not-so-fair city, but I can't stay away from en world...

Actually I'm a third shift dispatcher, so we have long stretches of time when there's nothing going on, and we get a little bored. That's when I do most of my posting and perusing (don't worry, if you call the police for help I have no problem dragging myself away from the boards for a few minutes).

Check out Malhavoc's "When the Sky Falls". It has some great suggestions for meteor's striking the world, their impact (no pun intended) on the world and different events. I will be having a meteor strike in my campaign world except it will be filled with demons from Mongoose's Slayer's Guide to Demons. The players won't know what to expect. :]

The Apocalyptic Template is quite nasty. I used it on a Frost Salamander (MM2) and the players really didn't like me. Quite the epic monster.
