The Iconics are out in force

High level Krusk has got some serious bling. I'm thinking he's a closet Mr. T fan.

Heh, and it looks like high-level Hennet has finally conquered his bondage fetish.

Also, check out Mercenary Mialee.

Apparently, being amoral makes her hotter.

Ah, how I miss making fun of the iconics. Does anyone know if they're still making those little softback novels with the iconics in them?

The iconics are like in every book!

I don't know how sales would be affected without them.

I thought high-level Ember had a pair of Uzis, instead of those spikey gauntlet things. Uzis would have been cooler.

Also, why does Mialee always look bored and/or borderline retarded?

Acrobatic Strike
Okay, this is Lidda, right? Well, in the PHBII, the description text says "an elf uses Acrobatic Strike"

Almost as dumb as the Dwarven AND Halfing mix-ups in PGtF

I have to say though that the artwork in here in top-notch - overall some of the best in any Wizards product to date. The Expanded Classes have some great pics, with Gimbel looking pretty spiffy, Jozan looking very regal and with a wicked mace, Meara looking pretty confident on her flying carpet and by far Alhandra's best picture to date - hell, it almost makes me want to play a pally with that uber-aweosme picture!

The Knight class has an awesome picture, IMHO, but the Dragon Shaman got kicked in the backside with a terrible picture *yuck*

Anyone else notice the Duskblade is called the "Twilight Sword" in the main page of the gallery?

It may be that I’m not the target audience (don’t read DnD novels) but the Iconics have always seemed like a missed opportunity.
They’re used frequently, widely recognized, but I’ve never seen them used to in any manner that was interesting… with the exception of (contact)’s story hour of course.

Do any of them have a personality? Or a background?

Well, they did have books written about them. It was a house name, so I'm not sure if they had fixed personalities. I've always wanted to read a couple, but those aren't books I'd pay full price for and even the discount stores tended to have them at above average prices.

Note that the Iconics seem to be moving away from the more extreme design. Specially Alhandra moved away from her warforged-like sword and skin-tight armor towards a more traditional design.

I think they're supposed to be mutable. You can use them where/however you like. Regardless, the names are famous.
