The issue of super strength

That force field excuse (and that is how I view it, despite that fact that DC came up with it!) raises so many issues, both biological and practical.

Once you start dealing with superheroes, some suspension of disbelief is necessary.

However, I have always wondered how he gets his costume under that impenetrable force field to begin with.

True - but you also need internal logic and consistency. The superhero genre can set whatever wacky rules it likes, but it should then stick to those rules - and those rules have to make sense in the context they're found.
