The Jade Frontier, part 2 (DM: THB, Judge: Lord Sessadore)

I found your tactics to be quite effective, Chey. Your ability to stay close to the shadows and sometimes hobble the strongest foe is one the strongest among us probably appreciate. Certainly I could learn something from you so I refrain from rushing headlong into battle!
[sblock=ooc Chey]I don't recall the battle very well, but I think your tactics worked well. Witchfire is awesome as long as you hit the right target & are backed up by one of the defenders to lock that target down (away from you).[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]The only real problem I have with Chey on her own is that she does need bailing out when she gets overwhelmed by enemies. And the people who do the bailing out is me and Brenwar.
Though I have found that the best place for me is in a good position at the back to help you guys out. And remember, we were saved by quite a number of very good dice rolls last encounter. [/sblock]

I think that by now we have all found our best methods of working together, Chey. Just as your place is in the shadows, mine is on the sides assisting and then moving in when I need to. Just don't make the mistake of straying too far from us, or you may be in a precarious position that we will be unable to remedy.

"I believe you are doing fine Chey, perhaps you shouldn't stray so far from the group during combat however." As he says this Brenwar readies a sunrod for easy retrieval preparing to enter the darkness.

Another thing we all may can do is focus fire. If we eliminate a creature then that means one less creature to go all stabby on our faces.

Cheysuli nods as she listens intently to her companions suggestions; "I will not move too far away from the group then."

[sblock=Tactics]I agree that concentrated fire is a good idea and I will have Chey focus on opponents that are engaged with our defenders unless there is some troublesome artillery. Is there a feat that allows you to gain flank with ranged attacks? If so, I may take it at next level.[/sblock]

Firete takes a cautious look around as the others finish talking, searching for a place where they might investigate what has taken place here.

[sblock=Perception]1d20+1=8 Ugh, anyone else do better to find out where we are meant to go in this building-thing?[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]There was a cleared path leading in to the ruins, I thin 2HB was just letting us chat tactics and is waiting for the go-ahead IC to go down the path[/sblock]
"Well, I would suggest we head that way and see why this trail is so well tended."
Chey points down the cleared pathway.

Pretty much.

The feat in question is in fact Distant Advantage, and it gives you CA when two allies are flanking your target. It's a very good feat, but it does rely a little on party composition.[/sblock]

Sure, Firete, go ahead. Now, let's head down the path.
[sblock=ooc marching order]I guess it's Firete, then Brenwar & Miranna, then Yishim & Chey. Let's get this show on the road! It's been 2 months+ since our last battle and Yishim wants to see some blood (not his)![/sblock]
