The cowled man looks over the battle, his eyes lingering on his fallen allies. "I suppose this is what comes of working with children and mercenaries. Make no mistake, you will all die here. Your names will be forgotten, and your works will be as dust." He swings his scepter at Brenwar, redirecting the momentum halfway through the arc and clipping the paladin in the head. He then takes another step back and bows mockingly to his attackers, "Unless, of course, you think you can stop me." His mouth, the only feature of his face visible beneath his hood, is twisted in a smirk.

T.S.O. misses Brenwar, so he spends his action point to hit AC 30 for 11 damage and 5 ongoing necrotic. And yes, the universal damage reduction from your armor does reduce the ongoing. So effectively it's 10 damage, 4 ongoing necrotic. Then he shifts back to G3.[/sblock]

The air rumbled around the shadowed figure as he stepped back, and Miranna gave a soft growl of what might have been laughter. She moved carefully forward, again attempting to take advantage of the distraction caused by Brenwar's attack. This time the cowled figure was ready for her attack, and the sword-swing went wide...

Chey makes a small gesture, and the Shadowed One is engulfed in flickering green flames."Fools!" he practically shrieks, "You will be the first to fall before my master." He grabs the pendant around his neck and teleports to the ritual circle in front of the gate. He raises a hand towards the rift, causing swirling shadows to detach from the stone arch and wrap themselves around the circle. You are all well-versed enough in such matters to realize that he is attempting to force open the rift. The energies that he's channeling are protecting him from attacks. Disrupting his efforts to destroy the seal should also make him vulnerable again.
