...This reminds me of the Futurama episode where the evil brain things wanted to collect all knowledge in the universe, then destroy that universe so there'd be no new knowledge to collect...

Personally I prefer the notion of supporting a line you enjoy -before- it gets junked, in hopes that it will -not- get junked. That way there's more to collect when it finally DOES get junked.

Original D&D(1974) is the only true game. All the other editions are just poor imitations of the real thing.
