The Kyngdoms is pleased to announce that The Shadow of Fane, the second part of The Last Mage of Mount Fane trilogy, will be available for purchase on the 13th December 2005!

The Shadow of Fane is a d20 fantasy adventure designed for 3rd level characters, written by Keith Robinson. It is the second adventure of The Last Mage of Mount Fane trilogy and follows hot on the heals of Part 1, The Cult of Fane.

The Shadow of Fane continues with the mammoth adventure to reach The Tower of Fane, hot on the heels of the bizarre and sinister Cult that has sworn to break the ancient curse that binds the evil wizard to his tower and see him rise from the ashes of the past. This adventure sees the adventurers face the challenges of mountain travel as they slowly make their way toward the ever looming Mount Fane and culminates with a terrible, but surprising discovery.

The journey to Mount Fane will test the skills of those who have undertaken it and call upon their resourcefulness and endeavor, with several obstacles to be overcome, as well as a number of memorable encounters.

The Shadow of Fane will be made available as a fully bookmarked 41 page PDF from all our e-retail outlets for the price of $6.49.

It is also the second part of the trilogy, The Last Mage of Mount Fane. The first part, The Cult of Fane, is already available through our e-retail outlets, and the final part, The Tower of Fane, is scheduled for release on the 24th January 2006.

Wait no more. The experience of a lifetime continues.

The Shadow of Fane can also be played as a stand-alone, fully independent adventure.

To wet your appetites, check out some of the illustrations by the fantastic artists Gillian Pearce and Danilo Moretti:

Looking forward to it Keith!

I love the Kyngdoms, and even though I haven't started my campaign there yet, 2006 may be a good year to start with your adventure series.

Hi catsclaw!

I'm glad you're still liking our campaign setting. The final part of The Last Mage of Mount Fane trilogy is due out in January 2006, which means it should be all be available when you kick off your new campaign. And, even if I do say so myself, it really is an excellent finale to the trilogy :D You'll have to let us know how it goes!

Thanks! Unfortunately, I won't be able to start it until March or so.

Unless..... I do a PbP game. I've never done one before, and never played in one. Well, I've done lots of PbEM in my current campaign between sessions, but I am not familiar with Enworld PbP GM or Player etiquette and “mechanics”.

Maybe I’ll lurk a couple of games and read how they get started.

I am pretty much in the same boat. It's been mentioned once or twice to me that I should start a PbP The Kyngdoms game at our forums and I'm tempted by the idea. I'm not sure exactly how much interest there would be (or, for that matter, how to actually drum up interest) or, as you say, how it actually works, but it might be fun. If there was enough interest, I'd certainly be happy enough to set up the appropriate forums, etc.
