All release dates, starting with March's Unorthodox Wizards & Video Game Magic Items, will be postponed by one month. At this time there are no plans to release any new books in the month of March.

The schedule will continue starting April. Thank you.

Hey, TheLe. I was wondering if Wizards will be the last Unorthdox that covers all the PHB core classes.

If so, is there a chnce (very slim as it may be) to get an Unorthodox Classes Compilation as a POD or Lulu purchase?

Yes, there is a chance. I am working with Precis Intermedia Games (http://www.pigames.net/) about going POD.

Lulu is also possible, but is far more expensive. I don't know if RPGnow will ever offer POD again, so for now they are not really an option.

I am also considering just printing a handful of copies and and offer them directly through my website. If I can cut out the middle man (Rpgnow takes a 35% chunk) then I would be able to pass some savings on to my customers.

There are lots of options, which I will have to address later. Right now I am getting ready to release Unorthodox Orthodox: Menage' Trois tomorrow, which will be FREE!

Hey TheLe, What are your thoughts on Pathfinder RPG?

Sorry for the late response.

I feel that WOTC's handling of the 4e situation has been questionable at best so far, and right now it feels like many players will not be converting to 4e just yet. The coming of Pathfinder will simply reinforce this fracture even more, which is probably a bad thing for a publisher like me, but good for players since it gives you more options.

After all, people are still playing AD&D 1e and 2e out there, but things are a bit different this time -- many people like 3.x and want to stick with it, and they will.

I'd like to continue to publish 3.x, but honestly it all depends if it is financially feasible. If sales dry up for 3.x, then it becomes harder to justify it. Not to mention WOTC has still not officially told us if we are allowed to publishing 3.x stuff at all!

I think pathfinder will do fine for a while, but it's hard to stop the 10,000 pound wotc-gorilla forever. As much as people complain about 4e being so different, I think in the end they will come around if it is a good system. Even people who say they are not converting will most likely purchase the DMG and PHB, which is WOTC's bread and butter.

So, what do I think about Pathfinder? I think it may do fine the six months, but the popularity and sales around it could drop significantly afterwards.

Not necessarily. Since Pathfinder is backwards-compatible to 3.x via the OGL, us in the know can still use your material for our games.

Also, unlike AD&D, there will still be fresh material being released.

You can't if you want to publish 4E material. And 3.x includes OGL like Castle & Crusades, True20, etc.

Sigh. Again, Paizo has no interest in competing with DnD 4E. Apparently the company's doin' fine with what little of the marketing segment they've kept.

I'm getting all three books. Gift certs are one's friend :D
