The limg Tag, Some of my Maps

Michael Morris

First Post
This thread serves two purposes. One is to show off my campaign maps. The second is to show off a new bbcode tag: limg.

The format for limg is:

{limg}image url{/limg}

Use [] instead of {}

What does it do? This:

[limg]http://www.enworld.org/images/maps/GIFJPEG/telzoanstates.jpg[/limg]

Simply put, it takes a huge image and contains it in scrollbars so that the rest of the thread remains viewable.

For the sake of dialup users I'll stop at that one map which is nearly a meg. That's one of my most fully realized maps of Telzoa, the central area of my campaign setting.

Beautiful map. Really thoroughly detailed, and nice to look at as well. Made with CC2 right? Or am I wrong there?

Also, the new code: can you set the dimensions of the image "box" or does vB do that automatically?

The vertical dimension is set to 300. I could make that optional though. The horizontal dimension is set to 100% of available space.

The map started life in CC2 and was then exported to Macromedia Fireworks for additional texturing (the forests, the oceans)

Optional might be an idea, maybe its just because my computer is currently in 800x600, but the image has stretched out the window alot in my browser. It's not a huge problem, but a little inconvenient.

Ah, I thought it didn't look like average CC2. I've got to learn how to put maps like that together sometime.
