and here is what i have worked on so far. please forgive the crudity, there's a lot to fix/add, as i've just started on it. but please do offer your suggestions, using the standard dragon formula (posted by scott), to make these guys standard like the MM dragons. i'll worry about the flavor text and other details. :)

I did the orange already on the old boards.

The yellow purple and orange are my favorite dragons FYI looks ok.

Sean K Reynolds sugguested to mea way to handle the sodium breath weapon. I think it was one half fire or something. I can't recall it now. You might want to run it by him.

Check out the stats for the parent dragons too. Red Dragons have high ST and CON I used them as a partial basis for the orange.

i'm working on them a little bit here at work, but i took all my books and notes home last week and haven't brought them all back yet. ;)

BOZ,

Just wanted to say thanks!

The dragons are looking real good! Cannot wait to unleash them on hapless players...

Danke!

Now, my main question is, should we make the purple dragon a blue/red crossbreed or a true species? Also the yellows sodium breath is quite easy to classify (Acid damage), but the purple dragons energy breath would be classed as what? (Fire? Electricity? Force? Sonic? Cold? Acid? A combination of two or more? None of the Above?) We need to give pc's a way around the damage (other than evason/improved evasion.) :D

Purple dragons as they are portrayed in the article (and frankly the premise of the article) should be cross-breeds. How should this work...been giving this a lot of thought. It should be both Fire and Electricity, but that would weaken its breath weapon. What about either Fire or Electrity resistance/immunity work, but are only half as effective? So you have both Fire and Electricity resistance/immunity...then you get the benefit of having both and Fire/Electricity resistance works at face value.

Also...it sounds like the claws of the Purple Dragon could be made "Keen"?

Any thoughts?
