The Mosque of Tyr

First Post
Hi All,

Does anyone know where I can find any info on the Mosque of Tyr located to the south of Daggerford in the Forgotten Realms?

Much thanks in advance.

In the realms, the houses of worship are generally referred to as temples. Possibly the poster was in error.

However, there are a few links to FR sites in the Maps and other campaign resources link in my sig. (If you can't see the sig, go to the Talking the Talk forum in the Gaming area of the boards.)

Thanks for the replies folks! More help needed...

The location in question is featured in the Forgotten Realms Interactive Atlas. I had never heard of it before and since I beginning work on reviving my campaign I thought I would through it out to you learned folks.

I thought it odd myself that Tyr would have a mosque but hey, whatever...

Oh! I just remembered that it is also mentioned very, very briefly in the Savage Frontier/The North boxed set from a while back (before 3E) and is still available for download on the WOTC site in the archives. Other than that I have no info on it whatsoever.

Unfortunately it doesn't. I went through that thing with a fine tooth comb (at least concerning the Triad) the other day. I would have suggested this book myself had someone else asked. Thanks anyways though.

Sorry, just noticed this thread now.

N5 Under Illefarn.

This (old) module introduced (and mapped) the town of Daggerford and the surrounding regions, including The Mosque of Tyr (and some other locations mapped in that area).

You might also get some information from the "Daggerford" book in The North box, as most of that information originally came from N5. (I'm at the office right now, so I can't check to confirm.)

This is based off memory, so correct me if I am wrong.

If I remember correctly, the Lands of Intrigue have a flavor similar to the Constantine Roman Empire, around the area of Turkey or so. This is where Europe started to blend in with Muslim type cultures, such as the Moors and such. (I could be wrong about the specific names, but I remember it is supposed to be a blend of European and Eastern cultures) The Lands of Intrigue are to the south, such as Amn and Tethyr. The Lands of Intrigue also venerate Tyr as a deity of that region.

That could explain why there is a "Mosque of Tyr". You may want to take a look of Lands of Intrigue, since it may go more into depth about the church of Tyr. It can be downloaded from the WotC website.
