The most character-less character you've ever played?

Vanil the vanilla fighter, basically he's an "in case of emergency break glass" character. Need a character in 5 minutes, pull out Vanil. I wish I could claim credit for the idea but I yoinked it from a fellow player several years ago.

Years ago, 2e dnd, my husband rolled up a pair of quickie fighters, half-orc brothers named HoA and HoB. They lived to be at least 10th level!

I think almost every PC I've played in the past 20 years has had a personality. In the late 80's, I played an elf Fighter/Cleric/Magic-User who had no personality whatsoever, not even a name, but that's been about it. All my old PCs in a memo book I have stored away, I can look at each one, and recall a pretty firm personality I had specced out for each one. Even if I only played them two or three times before the campaign folded, I roleplayed them up a bit.

I had been unable to game for a while due to scheduling conflicts, and joined a mid-level campaign in progress. I was TOLD to play a rogue. (The second time in a row- the previous game, I had been cast as Morley Dotes.)

So I made Rothemd (German-ish for "Red Shirt"), a by-the-book 1Ed style thief whose job it was to take point and face danger, solo. Effective but bland.
