D&D 5E (2024) The Most Meta Party to Make the DM Cry?

@Zardnaar and whoever else,

I will be rolling up a new PC after a recent party wipe. I've got 3 primary contenders. Starting at level 1. I've not played a 2024 Sorcerer or Cleric yet. I did play a moon druid early during 2024 (moonbeam was OP) and i've also abused goodberry quite a bit. Most recent character was a Wizard focused on control and out of combat utility.
  • Light Cleric
  • Sea Druid
  • Draconic Sorcerer
Campaign setting is one where darkvision is really important so race choices are limited to those with darkvision. Starting stats will be standard array of 15,14,13,12,10,8 and i typically use book backgrounds as is, though if there was a cool concept I wanted the DM would allow it. The Eberron stuff is probably not allowed, but on a case by case it could.

So far we probably have a Paladin, a Wizard, 2 unknown and me.

We can use 2014 stuff as well, but i like to try to stay mostly to 2024 as a personal limitation for myself.

Which would you take?

These are all solid options tbh.

Ive seen plenty of light clerics and draconian sorcerers so I would pick storm druid.

I want to test out wrath of the storm with truestrike, conjure animals/woodland beings and the cold caster feat.

Haven't seen it yet. Interest level is high.

If you want to test out chromatic orb Elf sorcerer.

Light clerics a power house.

which cold caster feat?

Heroes of Faeun.

Storm druid wraith of the sea bonus action cold.

When you inflict cold damage -1d4 next save. Follow up with whatever maybe get command via magic initiate if youre concentrating.
That's a cool combo, i'm probably getting warcaster first since spellcaster with concentration spells wanting to be in melee can be rough. But for later it's definitely a top consideration.

I think I have decided to rule out the cleric. The difference over the first 2 actions at level 5 is potentially ~50 damage for the sea druid using a single slot and single channel divinity and ~35 for the light cleric doing the same.

The earlier levels look nice too.

That just leaves Sea Druid vs Draconic Sorcerer.
