[/spoiler]</p><p>The witch has been alternating her attacks between the two young men. Because she is currently focused on Whisper it gives Jaguar a slight advantage. She throws another stone, striking Whisper as he is running toward her then agilely steps aside to avoid him. The stone is a bit of an irritation but the mystical assault on his senses adds insult, and Whisper is a bit confused.</p><p></p><p>The slight advantage allows Jaguar to target the soft tissue of the witch with his last slate dart. In the instant he loads it, he remembers that slate is tuned to sound so he generates a mechanical node instead of a chemical one. Unfortunately the magic suffers a bit of bad luck and is only marginally as effective as it could be. With that last dart, though, the witch is now injured.
