To me the "Player Essentials: Heroes of the-" books in particular look like a great deal, even though I have a PHB. Having an extra set or two of things like character creation rules, and details on the different skills etc. is always welcomed at my game tables.
The PHB is the most grabbed-for book at my group's table, and it's often because of these parts that Player Essentials books will presumably be duplicating.
$20 is a sweet price for me.

At $20, this is also the type of thing that would be nice send to troops overseas or recovering at home (see link if the latter is of interest to you Loremaster).
