The Night Below - your experiences?

Interesting that it was released as setting-neutral, rather than associated somehow with the Forgotten Realms. Perhaps someone of the old-school persuasion was behind this?

It was written by Carl "From the Ashes" Sargent who wrote some Greyhawk material in the 90s, and it fits almost perfectly into the World of Greyhawk. Another book of his, Monster Mythology is similarly generic but fitting into Greyhawk.

Oh, the grell, the grell... How could I forget the grell??

My players still shutter when they think of a room full of those things.

"They just kept coming and coming..."

Epic.
 

I DM'd it and loved it.

It was a lot of work prepping all the spells for the savants and such, but it was a blast. My players loved it.
