The holiday season is upon us, as is the end of the current year. What better time than to add nominations? See the parent thread: http://www.enworld.org/showthread.php?t=158714.

My top picks for GameCube 2005:

- Mario Superstar Baseball: (available: http://cube.ign.com/objects/716/716495.html).
This game kept our entire house riveted during the first month and a bit when our classes weren't hectic, and when my one housemate's girlfriend brought it with her. Just a great fun game, which had them passing the controller back and forth for single-player (before I arrived with more controllers) for eight hours.

- Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance: (available: http://cube.ign.com/objects/001/001982.html).
I owed one of my other housemates money, and wanted me to pay him back by buying this game. I readily did so because if he didn't, I would've bought it. True to the GBA version, and an all-around good story and great tactic game.

- Resident Evil 4: (available: http://cube.ign.com/objects/015/015821.html).
My brother borrowed this from a friend, and couldn't put it down, and I had the same experience earlier when my roomate in first year got it. Creepy as hell, and fun.

- Star Fox: Assault: (available: http://cube.ign.com/objects/481/481615.html).
I've been waiting for Nintendo to bring Star Fox back into the cockpit, and it was not disappointing. Great fun single AND multiplayer.

I'll add one more if and when I think of it. My exposure hasn't been that great this year, with school and all. I might even change my current list.

Resident Evil 4: The game that changed EVERYTHING about the RE series, dropping all the elements that weren't fun. A pitch perfect game, creating an awesome mood and thrilling gameplay, with more extras than you can shake a stick at.

Runner up: Donkey Kong Jungle Beat: Pure Nintendo platforming FUN. Forget Donkey Konga...this is the real reason to buy a Konga for the GC, and worth every penny. Simple with amusing variants to the gameplay, this is a surefire winner, and a classic example of how Nintnedo is trying to find new ways to play. Now if we can just get Odama. ;)
