Pathfinder 1E The Pathfinder Dragon Shaman: A Conversion by Master Arminas

Arminas, with all these conversions you're doing from 3.x, I'm wondering about the Marshal from the minis hb. It's one I've always kind of liked, and chance you'll be working that one up any time soon?

The Marshall is actually a class that I despise. I don't know why, really, but it just seems . . . something is missing. Might have to work on one to try and make it good.

My feelings exactly the marshall was a great idea except that it was hideously underpowered, it's missing several things. Namely active abilities they can use on their turns, the ability to grant extra actions besides move, the ability to work with stealthy characters or casters, and enough skill points to really make themselves into a face class.

That's exactly why I'm asking! I played one in 3.5, and was liking it more conceptually than in execution, partially because it was a little underpowered. Since almost every class got a little juice in Pathfinder, it just seemed like using it straight up would be making that problem even worse. I'd really like to find a good fix.

If you have any interest, you might check out the conversion of the marshal/warlord concept that I did, called the commander. I tried to give a variety of different action options so they could work with other types of characters - there are a few stealth-related abilities and a few related to spellcasters.

There was a third party that made a supplement for pathfinder that featured their versions of non-OGL classes like the warlock and artificer for Pathfinder. One of them was the warlord, which was basically a Pathfinderized marshal (or a Pathfinder version of the 4E warlord). You might want to look at that.

Hmmm. if we remake the auras to be more about making life hard on your enemies, instead of boosting your friends we might be able to keep them around.

First, I thank those who have SteelDraco and talok55 for their referencing me to places where my request may already have been handled.

Second, I didn't mean to derail or hijack the OP's thread. So as much as I appreciate it, I think past this we should let the subject go back to what it should be.
