The Portal

Astor nods and returns Berethani smile as he passes him, making his way towards Johnny.

"Very sound idea, getting ourselves organised." He says quietly to the dwarf. "However, I'm not sure I really fall into any of the categories. I've got a few magical tricks up my sleeve, and I can probably handle myself a bit in a fight. But I'm a talker more than a fighter for most things. If you need someone to negotiate with the orcs, then I'm your man, but otherwise I'm not sure where I'll fit in..."

Aelynn is slightly ruffled by being ordered about by a dwarf, of all people, but doesn't want to create more problems, so she heads to the right front corner. She looks over the other magic-users in the group, nods in greeting, and begins to mull over recent events. "Good think I know Orc." Aelynn muttered to herself. Yes, it would be a slight advantage, if she were the only one who did.

"I hope everyone is still human enough to keep the racial tensions down." she says aloud, startled by her own reaction to Johnny's orders.

Looking at this half elf that he does not know, "Just pick a corner for pete's sake. If you are a talker than go sit with the Mages. We can sort it out later." As he walks away he mumbles, "Damn (rules) lawyers, always trying to ....HEY YOU, quit picking your nose and join a side!"

Berethani

To Aelynn:
Berethani chuckles inwardly at Aelynn's comment about racial tensions. "This is a bit strange, isn't it? We are all -- I mean, we were all -- human. Before. I mean, before we came here..."

Sighing, Berethani takes a step back, then starts over. "Greetings, Aelynn. I am Berethani, a sorcerer. I've focused on Summoning spells. For now, my repetoire is rather limited," he says apologetically, "but in the future I think I'll be a bit more useful to our cause."

"I see by your spellbook that you've chosen the path of the wizard. Since you'll obviously end up knowing a lot more spells that me, maybe you could kind of leave me to my niche." Berethani chuckles nervously. "By that, I mean don't specialize in Summoning!"

To Johnny:
"I don't have a military background -- and I'm certainly no warrior on this world. Although I'd imagine we're all going to have to fight." Berethani pats the crossbow dangling from a strap on his back, and hefts his longspear meaningfully.

Smiling and putting a hand on his shoulder/back, "Very good attitude, pip pip and cheerio. Help everyone in your group to get into easily manged rows."

Astor raises his eyebrows at the dwarf's brusque tone, but says nothing. He wonders over to stand with the mages, a slight grin on his face.

"I think I've managed to offend our commander-in-chief already." He jokes quietly to Berethani and Aelynn. "It does make me wonder if all the dwarves are quite so starchy..."

I smile at maiu comment then step off the stage and head for the door. On the way i turn back to the group."We know what the job is so lets get to it. I need two more steel users and two magic users to come with me any one whos sick of this squabling can come with me. Rymus how do i get out of here"

Ranger Rick:
A good number of the people do indeed follow your organizational plan. Others do not. Some leave, grumbling about not wanting to follow your orders and stuff like that. Others don't fit into the organizational plan: when you ask "Fighter, Mage, or Builder?", some answer "Rogue". Many people still seem to be deciding whether to join your group or go off on their own.

Among the Fighters, you find an Army Major (and a large number of lower-ranking personnel from various branches), who quickly organizes the Fighters in a fairly reasonable way.

Among the Mages, you find a Navy Lieutenant (and some lower-ranking personnel from various branches), who organizes the Mages in a reasonable way.

Among the Builders, you find a former Marine Sergeant who up until recently worked in construction (and an Army Specialist who happens to be an engineer). He organizes the dozen or so Builders in a semi-coherent way.

Morgan Talthos:
Rymus gestures, pointing out several other doors other then the one you came in through.

"okay for your information i can talk to anyone any way i want to. Also all of you are acting like little children who cann't decide upon what game they want to to play. "

Maiui turns to the stage and asks rymus. " Rymus which door leads out of this building and into the open." Maiu then grabs her bag and places it on her back and waits for the reply.

Tyreus hefts his greatsword on to his shoulder and goes to stand in the fighters corner. He finds a comfortable spot and relaxes, watching and waiting.
