The Powerpuff Girls Movie DVD, formatted? What's up with that!?

Well I finally have a copy of it and it's a fullscreen version. I can't begin to describe how much that disgusts me, worse yet I can find no evidence that a widescreen version even exists!

The special features seem good from what I watched so far and almost make up for the amputated picture.

For those of you who didn't see it at least rent it and watch it once, it's a good movie no matter what your age.

It is a great movie, but unfortunately, Warner Brothers botched the DVD something awful. Pan-and-scan is all that's available (as if my family can't handle widescreen?). For a taste of what you're missing, just go the extras and see how some scenes in widescreen, and what's been lost in the transition. Grrr.

Wow...I got the movie right after Christmas & didn't notice that it wasn't widescreen. What were they thinking?!

Another thing that really gets me is the soundtrack, or rather, the LACK of a soundtrack. I LOVED the music in the movie (i have the 2 soundtracks they released for the show) and I can't understand why there isn't one.

Digimon the movie came this way as well. It's fairly typical for kids releases, and a bloody shame.

Yep, but if Disney, the king of children's movies, can get it right why can't WB?

This has me seriously considering getting a bootleg DVD of the theatrical movie. Of course I 'd have to figure out where to look first.

I'm going to have to send out some venomous letters to WB and CN over this. Of course it could just be a scam to make me buy a second copy a year or two later when they finally release the real version. You know like how the Princess Bride was handled.
