I think Starfinder might back itself into a creative corner in terms of the two principal secrets of the core Stafinder setting:
1. Whatever happened to Golarion? and
2. Why did Triune suddenly decide to give everyone star travel?
Let either of those out of the bag, and you probably destroy the setting and certainly destroy a lot of campaigns. Building your game around two big secrets, and knowing the game will effectively end if either or both are revealed in an official product, might well frustrate those players who, when they see a secret around which the setting revolves, devote themselves to revealing it.
How does Paizo deal with this?
