In the vBulletin admin panel, change the value dealing with how many seconds you have to wait to post another thread or reply to 45-60 seconds or so. This will solve the problem.

Isn't that a mod/admin-exclusive ability?

there already is a 60 second delay in place.

I just had a triple post (due to my being a very impatient internet user - that's why I pay for a cable modem ). And it came up with the messgae that onyl admins may post more than once every 60 seconds. I still had 3 posts in the Animatrix thread in the Sci-Fi Forum however. The 60 second limit doesn't seem able to block this.

Fortunately edit works quickly so I was able to wipe out my other two posts as much as possible.

When you click post, 2 things happen in order:

1) The message gets sent.

2) The next page gets loaded.

Usually, 1 goes fine and 2 is taking a while. Hitting post again redoes both 1 and 2, so you got yourself a doublepost.
