Heya,
There was a "Cat Cult" mentioned a couple of times, the result of a Vodun priest helping spec ops troops during the Central American War handle their Black Lace addition by giving them a meditative trance to focus on when they took their combat drugs - namely that they were transforming into giant predatory cats (lions, tigers, etc).
In any case, that's all I can remember. It comes from a combination of small details in a book or two, plus I think hearing Mike Pondsmith talking about it years ago at GenCon, maybe discussions on old listservs, whatever.
Does anyone else happen to be an old CP2020 grognard and have any more details? Game effects, more details of the cult, anything?
