Plot Outline: Updating/re-imagining of the classic John Badham film where Number 5, one of a group of experimental military robots, undergoes a sudden transformation after being struck by lightning. He develops self-awareness, consciousness, and a fear of the reprogramming that awaits him back at the factory. With the help of a young woman, Number 5 tries to evade capture and convince his creator that he has truly become alive.

V: Second Gen looks interesting. It's being written and directed by Ken Johnson who did the original V miniseries. He however had nothing to do with V The Final Battle and V the Series and pans them whenever possible. To his mind, they're not canon.

And based on the plot description, it looks like Johnson is ignoring both V:TFB and V:TS and picking up 20 years after the original V mini ended.

I hope he doesn't ignore/discount the characters and events from the Mini. The leaders of the Resistance: Julie Parish, Mike Donovan, Rob Maxwell, Elias Taylor ought to be heroes if dead or at least hidden away somewhere still providing guidance to the mission, but unable to engage in field ops due to age or that they are just too valuable. It might be nice if Marc Singer, Faye Grant, Mike Durrel, or other stars from the original came back either as regulars or cameos.
