The verbiage on the product is that it is both “officially licensed” and “an official companion product”. It’s both. What I’m curious about is the second one.

Given that it's not actually published by Wizards of the Coast, I suspect "official" is some marketing puffery, denoting that it's officially licensed.

And thus, I don't think a book not published by WotC is indicative of whether a given store is selling WotC stuff or not.

It says both things in the same verbiage and not in a way that is like it’s repeating the same info.

But yea, maybe just marketing.
