The Return

Hi folks

Thanks for having me back and sorry for being so quiet over the last couple of months. Its been crazy at work as we've had to fit a 9 month project into 6 months.

Unfortunately I'm not going to be able to be that active over the next month or so as my wife has been in hospital for the past 2 1/2 weeks with a severe infection and she's not coming out any time soon.

However we did get a fruitful couple of sessions done in my PnP campaign before this happened so I am going to wite that up for the timeline, hopefully by the end of tomorrow. This will be a major event in Paludosus.

One thing I'd like from you is possibilities for boltholes in other kingdoms for some powerful Sauran nobility who are about to make a run for it, they would be looking for anywhere that would shelter a couple of liches and assorted minions so it would need to be accomodating to evil beings. Ruins and the like in remote places would be ideal as they will have been scouting out possible escape routes for some time as will temples of evil deities - they will pay well for protection from the Life and Death divine salient ability.

These guys will be high on the hunted list, both the secular and religious authorities in Paludosus want them badly. Charges will be Treason, Attempted Regicide, mass-murder etc so I doubt even the evil kingdoms would be that interested in sheltering them officially, but secret help might work.

Good to see you back again. My best wishes for your wife's speedy recovery.

Kinrisar was born in the exodus of slaves from the "Old Kingdom" in what is now the Jarra Jungle. The Bitroot Mountains separate Kinrisar from the jungle with the jungle to the south of the mountains. Following the war, the leaders and loyalists to the regime of the Old Kingdom were cursed and became the Yuan-ti. This very evil heritage and reptilian flavor would certainly make the ruins of the Old Kingdom a place for your refugees to hide.

I wish you and your wife well, Silverglass :(

Ulruz is a secondary option. Having little diplomatic relations with Paludosus and a military that doesn't really fear a good dust up, they wouldn't much care - especially if the refugees brought nice loot or power that could be useful to whoever their patron ended up being. Ulruz being Lawful Evil and all.

But I'd say Ulruz is a secondary option.

Silverglass, I have included in the Kinrisar timeline activity for Autumn +66 that *something* is happening in the Jarra Jungle. Very vague. It can be the exodus or your nobles or something completely different. Let me know what you decide.

Having some decamp to the Jarra jungle seems like an ideal situation. The refugees would want somewhere remote to operate in.

I will note that a small group have fled there.
