The Scarab

Startled by the antics of his fellow forge heart, it took Delg a moment to realize the jest for what it was.

"Aye, that be th' truth. But never was it t' be thinkin' th' lunch would come back fer seconds at gettin' t' its mouth."

Laughing softly, Delg turned back to the door and tried to listen once more.

"No problem, Bo. You come out of that okay?" Ashan has noticed the small wound on Delg's shoulder, but says nothing if Delg says nothing.

In response to Khulmbanos's question, Ashan shrugs, "He sent us here to get the dingus. I would think it'd be jake for us to keep whatever else we find here. Nice lizards."

Hremelan cautiously enters the chamber, no worse for the wear, but still nervous.

Who'da thunk I'd b' in th' middle o' the desert fightin' a bunch of overgrown chiuaua's? They'll ne'er believe me back 'ome.

He looks at the statue in wonder and disgust. "Erk, now tha' is so'ethin' to roon yer lunch." Just then he sees Delg listenng at the door and clamps a hand over his mouth to silence himself.

{A few seconds before walking to west door}

As the elf confused his name with another, Delg trusted his new companion would get it right in time.

~Perhaps a bit too long in the sands...it could be why they talk so funny...

"Aye, as right as rain. Th' rat pricked me with that stick o' his, but tis nothin' t' worry about."

{At the door}

Even though he was doing his best to listen at the door, Delg's ears picked up on the strange banter of his friends more.

~Dingus...jake...bo...what the blazes does that mean...~

Resolving to ask later, Delg tried to tune the others out and focus on the matter at hand, the door.

"Good little scrap, that." Osric grins widely, seemingly well pleased. "But blimey lads, you left me standing at the start! You've got some fast reflexes there."

"Those gold lizards are a nice bonus. Ram-Tet said we'd got dibs on any goodies we found, didn't he?" Osric quietens down as Delg listens at the door, looking around the room for anything of interest.

The moment it's confirmed that we can keep the lizards, Khulmbanos stops waving them in Delg's face and slips them into a pocket. He then checks the pots to make sure there isn't anything else of interest in there.

After the fight Riss leans heavily on his remains of a katana while he puts the ancient wakazashi away, and winces while Casandra inspects the wound. She soon heals it and he's able to stand up once more, he bows in appreciation.

"My thanks for your treatment," he says, "Wicked little creatures they are."

He frowns at the hole in his armour, silently noting to patch it up later with a piece of kobold hide. The kobold that did it preferably.

Casandra

Casandra will move towards the North door. She will listen. Which direction would it open? She will stand beside it with her morning star still prepared in case anything enters.
