Can anyone tell me the name of the sequel? I'd love to pick it up for my wife and surprise her this Christmas.

I had never heard of this sequel, and am tempted myself. A Christmas Story is also my wife's favorite movie.

It's become a Thanksgiving tradition in my family to pop in "A Christmas Story" after everyone's finished with the meal. Kind of a way to usher in the Christmas season (plus it's my wife's all-time favorite movie, I think).

A quick question: has anyone ever seen the sequel to "A Christmas Story?" It was made years after the original so the actors are all different, but they do a pretty good job of it (Ralphie's dad does a good job of emulating Darren McGavin). Unfortunately, my wife and I stumbled across it halfway through by flipping through the TV channels one day, so I have no idea what it was called. It took place during summer vacation, and Ralphie wanted a set of battling Chinese tops that ended up falling into a sewer drain. Oh, and the neighbors, the Bumpkises, played a bigger role.

Can anyone tell me the name of the sequel? I'd love to pick it up for my wife and surprise her this Christmas.

The only one I know of is 'Ollie Hopnoodle's Haven of Bliss', about the family's annual summer vacation. It takes place a few years later (Ralphie gets a summer job at one point).

Oh yeah... I saw the line and remembering if fondly, as it's one of my few family traditions around Christmas, I had to check the thread just cause of it.

Wow! This is also one of my family's traditions. Every christmas we gather around the TV and watch this fantastic movie. We've been doing this for as long as I can remember. I think its wonderful that someone else does this as well. Cheers to you Brother Shatterstone!
