What started as a suggestion at this thread:

http://enworld.cyberstreet.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=25811

is now becoming reality.

The Sourcebook for RPG Freelancers will contain information on both d20 and non-d20 publishers, their product lines and if applicable their submission guidelines for freelance writers, artists and editors. There will also be information in the sourcebook for print magazines and ezines.

This will be in pdf format and will be updated regularly when new publishers appear on the scene.

If you have any suggestions or ideas you can email me at:

amdobritt@rpgsourcebook.therpgtrader.com

or post them here.

The website will be up by tomorrow evening, it won't have a whole lot just yet but that will change over the next couple of weeks.

And for those of you wondering, the bi-monthly ezine is still being planned, first issue scheduled for release in November/December and will be about the various programs out there for gamers to use at the gaming table.

I've come up with a shorter name:

The RPG Freelancer's Guidebook

I'll be emailing every publisher I can (both d20 and non-d20), asking permission to include them in the guide, along with their submission guidelines; as well as the various ezines and print magazines that are out there.

The book will have three sections:

RPG Publishers
Ezines and Magazines
Resources and Articles

I also hope to have a few interviews with publishers and freelancers in here as well.

I'll try to post regular updates of the progress being made.

Things are moving along quite nicely. The response from the publishers so far has been very positive. (heaves a huge sigh of relief!):D

Now comes the fun part, gathering the needed information and putting it together. There's a slight delay on the website, need to talk to my loan officer (translate, "Dad") about a tiny advance against my next pay.

I'm considering adding a forum to the website once it's up, but not sure how popular it would be.
