Question - The +2 competence bonuses: Are those ongoing, or just a one time shot kinda thing for each skill?

You have to study the books for six hours to get the bonus each time you want the bonus.

Say you need the bonus for an autohypnosis roll. You study the books for six hours, then you get the bonus for the next roll. The next time you want the bonus, you have to study for another six hours.

The bonuses are not cumulative, so 12 hours of study does not get you a +4 bonus.

"Aphar Ha'adamah," she says. "I am 13. Before I fled, and before the Dark Man took him, my father told me that only the Cult of the Earthborn could help him. Do you know where I may find this cult?"

"Alas, I know of no such cult. Yet, the world has quickly become a strange place! This cult may be waiting beyond the next bend in the road for all I know. Nevertheless, it is good to meet you. Stay with us if you like. We'll do our best to help you."
