How we are wasting time against a character who has no intention of being broken
So, let's make an overpowered character.

V. Human, Dragon Sorcerer level 6.

Feat: Elemental Adept, Metamagic Adept.
Metamagic: Extended, Empowered, Distant, Quicken.

Damage:
Elemental Afinity, Elemental Adept, Empowered.
The average d6 now are 4.5

Active buff: 3rd Dragon's Breath

Action Dragon's Breath damage for 22 damage.
Bonus Action: Quicken Fireball for 45 average damage.
67 damage that ignores fire resistence.

You damages him? So, upcasted Hellish rebuke as reaction for sweet 31 damage.

You can also blast the enemy at 300ft with Distant Fireball.

OMG, I'm surrounded by enemies. Quicken Fireball and Bladeward for resistance against weapons.

It's overpowered.

350ft each other, why not?

your turn.

Any problems with 350ft?

Well yeah, it's unrealistic. I mean, I can just walk away on my turn and cast invisibility.

I can then take the Hide action (swapping the 17 in place for my check result if lower) and then close the distance anyway while hidden.

It's doubtful you'll detect me before I get to pretty close.

You can't use an spell and another action to hide.
