Description: With his darkly tanned skin, thick mane of brown hair and beard, and worn leather hunting boots, Balin looks more like a woodsman than a mage. However, while he is no novice to the woods, his heart and soul are dedicated first and foremost to the mastery of his craft.

His clear blue eyes are the best features on a face that is otherwise plain at best, and while he can still hold his own in races hosted at yearly festivals, Balin can feel a slight padding around his midsection developing despite his efforts to halt and stop the “wizard’s waist” from settling in.

Background: If it had not been for Balin’s uncle needing an assistant he could trust, Balin’s path in life likely would have followed that of his father. However, Balin was taken away from his family’s wood mill and brought to Haptooth to help his uncle as best he could.

At first their relationship was strained, due mainly to them having nothing in common beside their shared blood. That changed drastically however once Masith saw the potential in his nephew to master the basics of the arcane paths.

Masith guided him as best he could and when Balin began to focus mainly on protection spells, Masith supported his nephews decision and allowed him access to the few grimoires that he owned dealing in that area.

After learning all he could and helping his uncle bring in a new assistant, Balin left Haptooth to see what the world outside of his small town home had in store for him.

I tried to backwards engineer Balin from memory, so if someone could scan the sheet for me to make sure I didn't make too many huge errors, I would appreciate it greatly.

From a cursory glance, I'd say you still have three more skill points to spend. Also the spells/day for a level one abjurer are 4/3. The base is 3/1, plus the bonus abjuration cantrip, plus one 1st-level abjuration spell, plus one 1st-level spell for your intelligence.

Oh, and I guess I took too much time kibbitzing and didn't come up with a character in time. I hope y'all have a good time.

Well, only 3 characters are submitted so far, and 2 of them are already in some of my other games, so I might consider them behind all other in line, as such. Feel free to come up with a character yet.
 

I will definately give up my spot if you want to make an arcane char. I had was not going to submit one in this game except I have always wanted to do the Sunless Citadel series in a group.
