There is a huge difference in the quality of the "Sci-Fi Pictures Original" movies and the miniseries on Sci-Fi.
The movies are low budget with no-name actors for the most part. Bruce is the only exception I can think of right now and even those were tainted by Sci-Fi's touch of death when it comes to movies.
The miniseries shows however seem to have a much higher budget and the quality reflects that.
The ones I can think of off the top of my head are (Steven Spielberg's) Taken, Children of Dune, Earthsea, and of course The Triangle.
Slightly better quality that oh, Hammerhead or better yet, Mansquito. Worse than B movies...
Anyway so far I enjoyed part one of The Triangle, but haven't seen part two yet. Here's hoping.
