The troll art is up

These trolls, along with the angels are both monsters I'm glad they kept working on. The final versions are much better than the preview ones.
The final version of the angels was just as bad as the preview imo but I definitely agree about the trolls.(for comparison)

The head is much smaller now, he actually looks like he can stand. And the nose looks less like a beak.

I thought the skin would be more stoney than froggy though.
And i'm not a fan of the Elrond hairdo but at least it is less obtrusive than in W&M.

I like how they've bulked up trolls. It always bothered me how they were described as being so lanky in earlier editions, especially given how strong they are.

Very nice. Sam Wood doth rocketh.

EH, too much toon for me. The saber tusked troll especially. Not that D&D trolls haven't always had issues. Though Meg Mucklbones from Legend is a grand example of a decent one.

The metal 3E ogre was a nice troll. The Chainmail ogre trooper was a great she troll.

I kinda wish they had stolen a little more from the LOTR movie troll.

These trolls aren't nearly ... Jamaican ... enough for my tastes. I mean, I hardly believe they're capable of stirring a cauldron, much less mastering voodoo.

Warcraft jokes aside, I'm not really fond of these trolls. They seem more froggy than I care for.

Then again, if someone told me to draw a troll and left it up to me, the page would be blank. I just don't have a well-defined image of what a troll should be in my head, so I imagine I would find fault with just about any depiction.

I like these trolls. Big, green, tough, and ugly, which is all they need. Much better than 3E trolls, too.

Now I want to see what kind of horrific stats they have...
