16 hours and counting.

I talked my wife into a midnight showing and have now dragged 3 others into it. I bought the tickets out of instinct thinking midnight was not too late, then on the way home with the tickets in my pocket, I remembered it is a 3 hour movie and I will not get to bed until 4, that is if I can get to sleep. Alarm goes off at 5:30:(

Anyway, I am taking this as a personal challenge to my aging body. I have not gone out until 3-4 on a worknight since my wife and I were first dating 9-10 years ago.

I have a line on tickets for the midnight showing. I'll know by about 12:30. I may have to take off early from work to go buy tickets.

The good news is tomorrow is my day off (cunningly scehduled weeks in advance!), so it won't matter that I won't get home until 4 or 5 in the morning.

Currently I have to wait about 16 hours for the movie to start. I have the day off tomorrow so I don't mind staying up until the wee hours of the morning.

My wife, bless her, is a teacher and will be working tomorrow but she will be with me tonight. Last year we did this same thing for FotR and she was the coolest teacher at school for days.

13 hours and counting...

I took my last personal/vacation day of the year Wednesday, so that I don't have to drag into work like I did last year after Fellowship.
