The suburban aspect might play into it, or not; depends on the community. Montgomery has 250,000 people, roughly. We have one gaming store, with two rooms in the back. Prattville, 43,000+ and growing (they added over 10,000 between the previous census and the last one) has a game store with five rooms, two dedicated to card games, one dedicated to minis and two dedicated to RPG's. They're always full, and there is a sign-up list to use them.
