Re: PDFs

I'm curious why some people aren't listing PDFs that they have in their collection? Is it because you have too many and don't want to write them down? Or is it because you think of them differently?

Personally, I don't really make much of a distinction - material for my game is material for my game, no matter what formt it's in. I don't think of PDFs of being "lesser quality" than a hardback or softcover. In fact, some of them are much, much higher quality (in terms of content).

Right you are. I left the PDFs out because I tried to make the list from my memory, and I had copied a list of companies from another post.

So I should mention those great PDFs like "Joe's Book of Enchantment", "Tournaments, Fairs, and Taverns" or "Visira, City of Sorrows", to name but a few.

For what it's worth, here's mine.

Lots of stuff from these companies:

- WotC: All of their D&D stuff except the Stronghold Builder's Guide and most of the adventures, all 3e issues of Dragon and Dungeon, d20 Call of Cthulhu.
- Green Ronin: Hammer & Helm, Assassin's HB, Wrath & Rage, Book of the Righteous, all three monster books.
- Sword & Sorcery Studios: Relics and Rituals I & II, Creature Collections I & II, Hollowfaust, Mithril, DM's Screen, Divine and the Defeated.
- Malhavoc: Books of Eldritch Might 1-3, Book of Hallowed Might, Requiem for a God (all print).
- Fantasy Flight Games: Traps & Treachery, Spells & Spellcraft, Monster's HB, Dungeoncraft, Mythic Races.

Some stuff from these companies:

- Eden Odyssey: Liber Bestarius, a couple of the vignette sourcebooks.
- Necromancer: Tome of Horrors.

I don't have any PDFs.

With a handful of exceptions, I'd happily recommend everything on my list. (The exceptions: Hero Builder's GB, WotC DM's Screen, Wrath & Rage, Assassin's HB, Dragon Lords of Melnibone, Arms & Armor, RttToEE and the Epic Level Handbook. I found all of these to be mediocre, although not without some utility.)

I had intended not to post in this thread -- until I read through it and found myself interested in the nature, size and diversity of the lists that have already been posted. Ah well.
