At least this lets me know that they realize what a horrible mistake 3.5 was... that is a good thing. The problem of course is the turnover at WotC. Even if this guy has some authority to be making this statement, by the time it becomes an issue, he will likely have moved on. Oh well, I'll stay optimistic for now.

I like 3.5. Why the hate? What would the alternatives be to 4.5?

There will most definitely be balance changes needed after a certain amount of play. There will most certainly be errors. I guess they could compile a big eratta file on DI. They could also keep updating the PHB online for those entering the key codes in their 4ed PHB. If they did that, it wouldn't be too bad.

I'm mostly worried about them not trying to better balance things over time (rather than them creating a 4.x version of the game.)
