[Scratches head] To be honest, I can't recall a recent time when I went into a general bookstore and they had more than Dungeon and Dragon on the shelves. On rare occasions, they might have White Dwarf...maybe.

So this is a change....how? Plus a lot of those magazines aren't exactly big print runs. I think High Times is the only one with real numbers (200,000 circulation) that I know of, and it's been around since 1974. Dragon was averaging something like 70,000-80,000 before WotC took it back, afaik. And a large part of that is because of places like ENWorld. I mean, remember when Dragon's Forum fulfilled the function that RPG.net, WotC's site and ENWorld now does?

Besides which, I like Pathfinder. A LOT. :)

Stoners don't use computers or the internet to enhance or expand their "hobby" like we do.
Links to the contrary would be obviously against ENWorld's posting rules, but I assure you that this is not true. :)

There's a gaming mag from Montreal that is sold at my local Chapters, called Polymancer. It's really a rules-neutral magazine that seems to hate d20, so I'm not a huge fan. But it's a gaming magazine.

I've used it once, when it ran an article on resources in Post-apocalyptic settings. But mostly, yeah, it's garbage.

Tree murderer!

So what's more carbon-friendly, distributing a magazine in paper form or electronically?

Well here's the thing. I won't pay for or read a digital magazine. So, if I want to enjoy the magazine experience, a tree will have to die... or maybe we could use recycled materials... but "magazine" to my mind (and wallet) means something I can hold in my hand, physically own and carry where I wish...

QFT, it's garbage. If at least they were friendly people, I could at least say something nice.

Friendly people? I'm sure there's a story there, and I'd love to hear it. :)

They do have a sort of "Gamer elitist" vibe to the magazine, which is funny when you see how shoddily it is put together (I read an article in it that was more or less "how to make a product using only free software" and the guy that wrote it admitted that the magazine was put together using Open Office).
