Theurge Cerebmancer

Now, I ALREADY KNOW THAT THIS IS DUMB, and that the instant someone tries this the DM had BETTER smack them and say "no," but I want to know the letter of the law.

Can a cerebmancer call "Mystic Theurge" his arcane spell-casting class, or vice versa? So what you get is:

Cleric 3/Wizard 3/Psion 3/Mystic Theurge 1/Cerebmancer ?

Go up a level in Cerebmancer, say "I up my arcane spell-casting level in Mystic Theurge, because it most definitely casts arcane spells, and my manifesting level in Psion" then for Mystic Theurge say "I up my arcane spell-casting level in Wizard and my divine spell-casting level in Cleric"

I'm sure there's some way to Ur-Priest it to make it even more crazy :D Did someone ever get a viable way to get to the Ur-Priest/Mystic Theurge combo?

Thanks!

Mystic Theurge doesn't have a caster level to increase. Mystic Theurge increases your pre-existing arcane/divine caster levels, but there is no "Mystic Theurge" spell list or spells per day progression.

So Cerebremance could increase your Wizard caster level, but not your Cleric caster level.

I'm sure there are other ways, but the BBEG in my home campaign is a Wiz10/Urp2/Myth8. This gives him Wiz 18 caster level and Ur-Priest 19 caster level.

Forget the MT combo and take the 10 lvls of Ur priest, at 10 lvl you can cast three wishes each day.
each day summon a Efreeti then steal his "3 whishes per day spell like ability" you can cast three wishes without xp component.
A cle4 with trickery domain/ Ur priest10 will meet the prerequisites I think (I don't have any book here, sorry if I mistakes.)

OR, how about classes such as Loremaster? It's spell-casting class that it raises is undefined, so the argument (however feeble) for raising the Mystic Theurge would work better.

Hmm...3 wishes a day...yum.

a PrC that has "+1 level of spellcasting class" can advance only classes that have their own spellcasting progression and spell list, be they a core class (such as wizard) or another PrC (such as assassin).

A PrC cannot advance another PrC that also has "+1 spellcaster level" such as applying Loremaster progression toward Mystic Theurge, or Divine Oracle for instance.

You -can- progress Ur-Priest/Apostle of Peace spellcasting with a PrC, as they have their own seperate, non-other class reliant spell progression. But frankly, those classes are broken as all hell and shouldn't be in the game anyway. Imo ;)
