Third Party Publishing Schedules

Would it work?

I'm surprised no one has noticed that third party release schedules have been woefully inadequate (nigh useless) pretty much since day one.

Bastion is finishing develop of it and Studio 2 is publishing it. It will carry both Bastion's and Studio 2's logo on it. It is very much alive and well. In fact, I am the art director on the book. :)

We're releasing Helios Rising (book 2 in the Dawning Star line) and Tell It To My Axe (book 2 in our AEvolutions line in support of Monte's AE) at Gen Con. I concur with GMS; I would go so far as to pay a (modest) fee to partake in a community product calendar.

A product release calendar here on ENWorld would be GREAT. Hell, Morrus could even charge publishers for its use, and Adamant Entertainment would be first in line.

Hmmm. Easy to implement using vBulletin's calendar functions. Perhaps a "publisher account" analogous to a CS account with a few features. Any thoughts?

The devil would be in the details: namely, the features for a "publisher account". But it sounds like a good idea to me.

Well, the question, I guess, is -- other than the calendar function (which I think I'll certainly implement) -- is there anything else that you feel EN World can offer publishers which it doesn't already do?

Secondly, assuming the calendar function was all there is, how much would you envisage paying for it on, for example, a year's basis?
